United Kingdom provides Ukraine with record aid package of 120,000 drones
The United Kingdom announced on Wednesday what it calls the largest drone package in history for Ukraine, committing to deliver 120,000 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types this year.
The package includes thousands of long-range strike drones, reconnaissance UAVs, logistics drones and maritime systems that have already been “battle-proven on Ukraine’s frontline.” Deliveries began this month.
The aid forms part of the previously announced £3 billion ($3.9 billion) assistance package for 2026 and the G7-led Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) program, under which partners pledged to provide Ukraine with about $50 billion from future profits generated by frozen Russian assets.
In addition, Britain will supply Ukraine with hundreds of thousands of artillery shells and thousands of air-defense missiles this year.
