Ukrainian forces hit Russian radar stations worth over $100 million — General Staff

Ukrainian Defense Forces struck Russian radar stations Nebo-M and Podlet, along with other military targets in the occupied Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, as well as Russia’s Kursk, Belgorod, and Rostov oblasts and occupied Crimea, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

The military confirmed the destruction of a Nebo-M radar station in the village of Chernovets in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast on April 16. According to Radio Liberty, one such radar system costs approximately $100 million.

Ukrainian forces also struck a Podlet radar in Novomaryevka, Rostov Oblast. Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence notes that this system, used in particular for guiding S-300 and S-400 air-defense complexes, is valued at about $5 million.

On April 9, Ukrainian troops destroyed a drone laboratory in occupied Donetsk Oblast.

Other confirmed strikes included:

  • A command and observation post near the village of Dovhe in occupied Luhansk Oblast;
  • Three drone control points in Russia’s Kursk Oblast and occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
  • A base for repair and maintenance of weapons and military equipment, plus a logistics hub in Donetsk Oblast;
  • A storage base for landing-assault boats in occupied Crimea;
  • Three ammunition depots in the Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts;
  • Warehouses for material and technical supplies and fuel and lubricants in Luhansk Oblast.
