Russia launches 102 drones at Ukraine overnight, hitting Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Sumy Oblast

Russia launched 102 drones at Ukraine overnight, with Ukrainian air defenses neutralizing 92 of them before hits were recorded at eight locations, Ukraine's Air Force reported.
As of 8 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses had neutralized 92 Russian drones — including Shahed, Herber, and Italmas types, as well as other models — over the country's north and east.
Eight attack drones struck six locations, while debris from intercepted drones fell on four additional locations.
Consequences of Russian overnight attacks
The city of Dnipro was among the targets hit overnight. A drone strike set an apartment on fire in a five-story residential building, regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said. Two people were injured — a 21-year-old pregnant woman and a 45-year-old man.
Explosions were also reported in Kharkiv overnight. Mayor Ihor Terekhov said a Russian Shahed drone struck the city's Osnovyanskyi district. The extent of damage and casualties is still being assessed.
On Thursday morning, a Russian drone hit a civilian vehicle in the Stepanivka territorial community of Sumy Oblast, regional governor Oleg Hryhorov reported. The driver survived because he had stepped out of the car to get coffee at the time of the strike, but was wounded and hospitalized.
