Ukrainian forces struck a Russian Project 22800 Karakurt-class small missile ship capable of launching Kalibr cruise missiles at its base in Kaspiysk, Dagestan, overnight into Thursday, Ukraine's General Staff reported. The extent of damage is still being assessed.

The strike marks the second time in less than a week that Ukrainian forces have hit a Karakurt-class ship. On May 3, Ukrainian drones struck another Karakurt-class vessel at the port of Primorsk.

In separate overnight operations on May 7, Ukrainian forces also struck a series of Russian military targets in occupied Ukrainian territory. Hits were confirmed on a command post in Sosnivka, Luhansk Oblast, and an enemy drone control station near Yasne in Donetsk Oblast.

An ammunition depot in Kalmykivka, a fuel and lubricant storage facility near Smolyanynove in Luhansk Oblast, and Russian troop clusters near Dersove in Donetsk Oblast and Smile in Zaporizhzhia Oblast were also struck.
