A Russian drone strike on June 5 hit a civilian food industry enterprise in Kyiv Oblast’s Brovary district, destroying part of its administrative building and killing four people, according to regional officials and the State Emergency Service.

The Kyiv Oblast Military Administration said people were at work at the time of the attack.

A fire broke out in the administrative building, where structures were partially destroyed.

Authorities said four people were killed and four others were injured. Emergency crews remain at the scene searching for people and carrying out rescue operations.

“Russia is once again showing that its target is not military facilities, but ordinary people living and working on their own land,” regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk wrote.

Photos from the scene show that the damaged enterprise is the Yahotynske for Children dairy plant.

Ukraine’s Air Force reported Russia attacked the country overnight with two Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles and 216 strike drones. Most were shot down, but 16 drones reached their targets. As of 8 a.m., Russian drones were still being detected in Ukrainian airspace, and the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration said some were moving over Kyiv Oblast.
