Russia’s Krasnodar Krai and Novorossiysk in particular were attacked by drones overnight on June 8. As of Monday morning, an oil depot in Novorossiysk was still ablaze. It is located on the territory of the Grushevaya Balka industrial site, part of the Sheskharis transshipment complex, which has already been attacked several times.

The fire on the site had been reported by NASA FIRMS service, which displays fire locations worldwide.

The Krasnodar Krai Operational Headquarters confirmed that the fire on the territory of the transshipment complex in Novorossiysk was caused by a drone attack. No casualties were reported.

The Russian Telegram channel Astra also confirms that the video shows a fire at Grushevaya Balka.

Sheskharis is the largest oil terminal in southern Russia, which receives, stores and exports crude oil to tankers. It supplies fuel to the Russian military fighting against Ukraine.

The site has been attacked by Ukrainian drones more than once before. In particular, it was hit on May 23.
