Vladimir Saldo, the Russian-installed head in the occupied part of the Kherson region, says a bridge in Chonhar was hit by Ukrainian drones overnight on June 9.

Traffic across the bridge has been closed, and drivers are being asked to use alternative routes via Armiansk and Perekop.

According to Saldo, more than 20 drones were shot down as they approached the bridge; without this, “the consequences could have been much more serious.”

This is the second strike on the Chonhar Bridge in recent days. Last time, Saldo posted about the attack on the bridge on June 7.

Later, it was reported that the operation was carried out by the Falanha unit of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsiubailo and the 475th Separate Assault Regiment CODE 9.2.

Drones manufactured by Fire Point company and Behemoth UAVs were used to conduct strikes. The Ukrainian military say it also disrupted the supply lines of the occupying Russian forces.
