Russian forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia twice, killing one person and injuring several others, according to regional governor Ivan Fedorov.

The first strike, carried out by drone against an industrial infrastructure site, caused a fire and injured one person.

Later, a second strike hit the city. One person was killed in that attack, and four others suffered shrapnel wounds, Fedorov said. The injured are receiving medical care.

Situation in the region

Over the course of the day, Russian forces launched 975 strikes on 56 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, killing three people and injuring 18 others.

Russian forces carried out 24 airstrikes and launched 712 drones of various types, most of them FPV drones. It also recorded four multiple-launch rocket system attacks and 235 artillery strikes.

Local authorities received 95 reports of damage to homes, vehicles and infrastructure.
