Ukrainian drone hits Russian Mi-28 attack helicopter over Belgorod Oblast
Ukrainian forces struck a Russian Mi-28 attack helicopter while it was in flight over Russia’s Belgorod Oblast, according to Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.
Brovdi said the helicopter was hit at about 10 a.m. by troops from Ukraine’s 427th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade, Rarog, near the settlement of Vyazovoye in Belgorod Oblast.
The Mi-28 is a Russian attack helicopter designed to destroy armored vehicles, troops and low-flying aerial targets. It is equipped with a 30 mm cannon, guided anti-tank missiles and unguided aerial munitions.
