Russian drone strike on Lozova station kills 2 railway workers

Russian forces struck Lozova station in Ukraine’s Kharkiv Oblast with drones, killing two railway workers and injuring three others, according to Ukrainian Railways (UZ).
UZ board chairman Oleksandr Pertsovskyi said the impact hit a railcar and that the dead and injured were railway employees.
“At this practically front-line station there are two shelters, and a third was added. A heightened danger warning and evacuation were announced in advance. More details later,” he wrote.
The company also said it would clarify the circumstances to determine “what exactly prevented lives from being saved.”
The Russian strike damaged the station building, overhead power lines and rolling stock. Train traffic to and from the station has been suspended for now.
Earlier the same day, Russian forces also attacked private homes in Balakliya in Kharkiv Oblast, killing three people.
