Smoke rises over Yalta port amid drone attack claims in occupied Crimea

Occupation authorities in Russian-occupied Yalta, Crimea, warned of a drone threat in the city during the day on Friday. An image purportedly showing Ukrainian naval drones later appeared online. The city's Unified Emergency Dispatch Service reported the danger in Yalta.
The authorities urged residents to leave the coastline and beaches and to stay away from windows if their homes are located near the sea.
The Telegram channel Exilenova, along with Russian channels Mash and Shot — both known for close ties to Russian security services — claimed the city was attacked by Ukrainian unmanned surface vessels. The local port was reportedly targeted, and videos showing a plume of smoke circulated online.
One of the drones appears to have lost communication and washed ashore. Russian media outlets reported that explosive ordnance disposal specialists would examine it.
