Russian FAB-500 bomb hits apartment building in Sloviansk, injuring 4

A Russian FAB-500 aerial bomb struck an apartment building in the front-line city of Sloviansk in Donetsk Oblast early on Aug. 31, injuring four people, local authorities and prosecutors reported.
The strike hit the city center at around 4:20 a.m., destroying a section of the five-story apartment building from the first through fifth floors, according to Sloviansk Mayor Vadym Liakh.
A private house was also destroyed, while dozens of apartment buildings, a hotel, a kindergarten and vehicles were damaged.
Donetsk Oblast prosecutors said the four injured residents, aged between 61 and 66, were inside their homes when the bomb struck. They suffered blast injuries, bruises and cuts and are receiving medical treatment.
Prosecutors said a total of 34 residential buildings and six vehicles were damaged in the attack.
