Ukrainian drones strike Novatek oil processing complex in Russia's Leningrad Oblast - intelligence

Ukrainian drones struck the Novatek-Ust-Luga oil processing complex in Russia's Leningrad Oblast as part of a joint deep-strike operation, Ukraine's military intelligence agency said.

According to the agency, the attack hit key elements of the facility's oil processing unit and other technological equipment, causing a large fire.

The extent of the damage has not been independently verified.

The Novatek complex is located at the Baltic port of Ust-Luga in northwestern Russia.

Ukraine's General Staff also reported strikes on other Russian military and fuel infrastructure between August 31 and September 1.

Ukrainian forces hit a fuel and lubricant depot in Russia's Belgorod Oblast, as well as drone preparation and launch sites, a communications hub, a command and observation post and concentrations of military equipment in Russian-occupied Luhansk Oblast, according to the General Staff.

The extent of the damage at those sites is still being assessed.
