Ukraine's Flamingo missiles hit sanctioned Russian chemical plant, manufacturer says
Ukrainian-made FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles struck a chemical plant in the Russian city of Volgograd overnight, according to Fire Point, the Ukrainian company that produces the missiles.
Fire Point said the missiles hit the Volgogradpromproekt facility and sparked a fire at the site.
The company produces ferrocene-based combustion catalysts and develops chemical production technologies. It is under U.S. sanctions for supporting Russia's military-industrial complex.
Fire Point also said its FP-1 drones were responsible for an overnight strike on an Ozon warehouse complex in Saratov.
The company said the 85,000-square-meter (915,000-square-foot) facility, designed to store more than 30 million items, was destroyed in the attack.
