Three killed, 10 injured as Russian loitering munition destroys section of apartment building in Kharkiv

Three people were killed and 10 others injured after a Russian loitering munition struck a five-story apartment building in Kharkiv on the evening of October 12, destroying an entire section of the building, local authorities said.
The attack hit the city's Kholodnohirskyi district, where an entire entrance section of the residential building collapsed, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said.
Rescue workers recovered the bodies of three people from the rubble by the morning of October 13. At least 10 people were injured, including a 19-year-old man who was admitted to a burn intensive care unit.
Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said at least 10 private houses were also damaged.
Ukraine's Air Force reported that Russia launched nine Banderoľ/Dan-T loitering munitions overnight, some of which struck targets in Kharkiv, while others failed to reach their targets.
The attack was part of a broader overnight Russian assault involving ballistic missiles and 108 drones, including 74 jet-powered drones, according to the Air Force.
