Ukrainian troops deliver 775 kg of aid by drone to frontline town cut off by Russian attacks

Ukrainian National Guard troops delivered 775 kilograms (1,709 pounds) of humanitarian supplies by drone to Beryslav, a frontline town in southern Ukraine where residents face constant Russian shelling and drone attacks.

Oleksandr Prokudin, governor of Kherson Oblast, said on October 13 that troops from the Bolharychi unit of the National Guard's 11th Brigade delivered 29 aid packages overnight.

The supplies included 475 kilograms (1,047 pounds) of hygiene products and 300 kilograms (661 pounds) of food.

"For Beryslav residents who remain in the city despite constant Russian shelling and drone attacks, these deliveries are the only way to obtain basic necessities," Prokudin said.

The mission was part of an ongoing effort to supply civilians who remain in the heavily targeted town.

On October 8, Ukrainian forces delivered more than half a metric ton of food by drone to Beryslav. The aid was intended for approximately 300 residents, including two children, according to regional authorities at the time.

Ukrainian troops have also used drones to deliver humanitarian supplies to Russian-occupied Oleshky, another town in Kherson Oblast. Two deliveries reported in late September and early October brought approximately four metric tons of supplies each, including food, medicine, and children's necessities.
