Ukraine received intelligence warnings for three subsequent Russian missile waves, Air Force says

Ukraine did not receive advance warning from its partners about the first wave of Russia's ballistic missile attack on Kyiv, but received warnings about the following three waves, Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat said on October 14.
Speaking on Ukrainian national television, Ihnat clarified that the absence of advance intelligence concerned only the initial wave of the attack.
The clarification follows reports that Ukraine's Western partners failed to warn Kyiv about incoming ballistic missiles, with some strikes occurring before air raid alerts were issued.
The issue has drawn attention amid reports that the Trump administration threatened to suspend intelligence sharing with Ukraine unless Kyiv stopped attacking Russian oil refineries. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that such warnings had been conveyed to Ukrainian generals.
However, there is no confirmed evidence linking the missing warning about the first missile wave to those threats.
According to Politico, a US official told Ukraine that adverse weather conditions had prevented the warning from being issued. President Donald Trump has denied that the United States suspended intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
The Russian attacks on Kyiv have killed three people and injured at least 21, according to Ukrainian authorities.
