Russian strike with Banderol loitering munition kills two, injures seven in Kryvyi Rih

A Russian strike using a Banderol loitering munition killed two people and injured seven others, including a 15-year-old boy, in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih on October 19, local authorities said.
The munition struck an industrial facility in the city's Pokrovskyi district on Monday morning, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of Kryvyi Rih's Defense Council, and regional officials.
A 39-year-old man was in serious condition, while four other injured people were reported to be in moderate condition, authorities said. The casualty figures were current as of 12:30 p.m. local time.
The strike also damaged at least 17 apartment buildings, shattering nearly 50 windows and damaging three roofs.
A nearby college, post office, bank, shops and vehicles were also damaged, along with the industrial facility.
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office said investigators were documenting the aftermath and had opened a war crimes investigation under Article 438 of Ukraine's Criminal Code.
The full extent of the damage was still being assessed.
