Russian drone strike on railway station in Dnipro kills at least 13, injures 10

At least 13 people were killed and 10 others injured when a Russian drone struck a railway platform in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on October 29, according to regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha.

The attack hit a platform where a commuter train and a regular passenger train were standing, Hanzha said.

Ukraine's state railway operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, said a jet-powered drone struck the station while train No. 866, traveling from Dnipro to Zaporizhzhia, was at the platform.

Passengers were present despite an elevated danger warning issued before the strike, the railway operator said.

Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov also confirmed multiple deaths and injuries, describing the attack as a tragedy.

Emergency responders, medical teams and law enforcement officers were working at the scene.

The casualty figures are preliminary and may change as more information becomes available.
