Russian missile strike damages hospice housing nearly 100 terminally ill patients in Dnipro

A Russian missile strike damaged a hospice housing nearly 100 elderly patients with terminal illnesses in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on November 3, forcing dozens to be relocated to other hospitals.

Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov said none of the patients or medical staff were injured in the attack.

"Nearly 50 terminally ill patients are now being transferred from the damaged hospice to other city hospitals. The oldest is 90 years old," Filatov said.

The hospice was among several medical facilities damaged in the Russian attack. According to regional authorities, a city hospital and an outpatient clinic were also hit.

The strike damaged 20 residential buildings, some severely, as well as a school, kindergarten, music school, library and cultural center.

More than 1,000 windows were shattered across the city, while damage to a water intake facility left the older part of the Prydniprovsk neighborhood without running water.

Municipal crews were working to restore the supply, Filatov said.

The mayor urged people to share photographs of the damaged hospice to draw international attention to the consequences of the Russian attack.
