Harris pledges to support Ukraine if she becomes president

US presidential candidate Kamala Harris said that she will continue to strongly support Ukraine if she is elected as the country's leader in the upcoming November elections, she said during her speech at the Democratic National Convention, Voice of America reports.

The politician also stated that she intends to strengthen America's global leadership in order to further overtake China in the race for the 21st century. She emphasized that as president she will support Ukraine and NATO allies.

"I helped mobilize more than 50 countries around the world to defend against Putin's aggression, and as president I will firmly stand by Ukraine and our NATO allies," Harris stated.

US presidential election

The next presidential election of the United States of America is scheduled for November 5. The current vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris, officially entered the presidential election race after Joe Biden withdrew his candidacy under pressure from his allies.

At the congress of the Democratic Party on August 20, Kamala Harris was officially approved as a presidential candidate.

According to Bloomberg, Harris is ahead of Republican candidate Donald Trump in four key states.
