Zelenskyy and Trump hold press conference at White House. Highlights

Ukrainian and U.S. Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump met at the White House on Monday and held a press conference before the closed-door meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Zelenskyy handed U.S. First Lady Melania Trump a letter from his wife, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.
According to the Ukrainian leader, the first lady of Ukraine thanks the first lady of the United States for her letter to Russian leader Vladimir Putin about the future of children.
After that, Trump was asked whether he really believes that Ukraine should end the war started by Russia, to which the American leader replied that he did.
He also said that if today's meeting with Zelenskyy goes well, a trilateral meeting between the leaders of Ukraine, the United States and Russia will soon take place.
At the same time, Trump expressed hope that Russian President Vladimir Putin also wants to end the war.
Trump also emphasized that he wants peace in Ukraine to last as long as possible, not just two years.
The American leader also reitereated that he did not support Ukraine's accession to NATO, but would provide it with clear security guarantees.
In the same context, Trump said that the United States "no longer gives money to Ukraine," but rather sells weapons.
Despite the fact that Trump opposed Kyiv's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance, he said: "NATO wants to protect Ukraine. We will help them do that."
In the end, Trump said: "I love Ukrainians, I love all people, and I love Russians."
He also said that he would speak to Putin on the phone after his meeting with Zelenskyy.
