Over 60 Russian targets hit in one night, Ukrainian drone forces commander says
Units of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck Russian military targets in occupied Crimea and in the occupied parts of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts overnight into Tuesday, according to Commander Robert ‘Magyar’ Brovdi.
Brovdi said the targets included Russian missile carriers, air defense systems, oil storage facilities, and energy and gas infrastructure.
“In the enemy’s operational depth, the birds of the Unmanned Systems Forces made a lot of noise. More than 60 sensitive enemy targets were worked over by middle-strike systems alone. Among the wide range of targets were three cruise missile carriers, four air defense systems, an oil depot in Kerch, a gas distribution facility and an electrical substation, as well as convoys of logistics vehicles and fuel trucks,” Magyar wrote.
According to him, Ukrainian forces hit:
- three Orion long-range reconnaissance and strike drones in Kerch;
- oil storage tanks at the Kerch (Kamysh-Burun) thermal power plant;
- a Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun system in Baherove;
- an S-300 launcher and a ZU-23-3 anti-aircraft gun in Kurortne;
- a Nebo-U radar station in Kerch;
- the West Crimean electrical substation in Karyerne;
- the Simferopol gas distribution station in Trudove;
- the Dzerzhynsk drone pilot training ground in Debaltseve, Donetsk Oblast;
- a fuel and lubricants tanker in Horlivka.
Russian logistics transport also came under attack in Pryazovske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as well as in Crimea and parts of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts.
Earlier, overnight into June 23, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed it had shot down 143 Ukrainian drones, including some over occupied Crimea. Local Telegram channels reported that a thermal power plant in Kerch was among the targets. Soon afterward, Russian outlet Interfax reported power supply disruptions in western and northern Crimea.
