Approval of Taurus missiles for Ukraine, Tusk's response to proposal to meet with Zelenskyy: highlights for February 22

The German Bundestag seems to have approved the transfer of long—range Taurus missiles to Ukraine. The Polish Prime Minister announced that the meeting of the governments of Ukraine and Poland will take place on March 28 in Warsaw. We collected the main news for February 22.
Approval of Taurus missiles for Ukraine
The German parliament approved the provision of long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine. The lawmakers recommended providing Ukraine with the "necessary long-range weapon systems and ammunition" to strike strategic targets in the far rear of the Russians.
According to Ukrainian MP Yehor Chernev, the wording about "long-range weapons" in the text of the bill is "Aesopian political language." Since Germany has no other long-range missiles, the Taurus projectiles are in question.
Now this bill must be signed by the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
Tusk's response to Zelenskyy's proposal to meet at the border
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that the meeting of the governments of Poland and Ukraine will take place on March 28 in Warsaw.
Meanwhile, the Polish authorities decided to include border crossings with Ukraine, certain sections of roads and railway tracks in the list of critical infrastructure. This should help unblock traffic.
According to Tusk, the decision to update the list is a matter of "the next few hours."
Draft law on the demobilization of conscripts
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the Ukrainian parliament for consideration a bill on changes to the terms of conscript military service.
According to the document, conscripts whose term expired during martial law and whose military service was extended beyond the established terms are released from military service to the reserve "within the terms determined by the presidential decree."
Security agreement with Denmark
Denmark concluded an agreement on security obligations to Ukraine for the next 10 years. The country became the first among the Scandinavian states to conclude such agreements with Kyiv.

According to the agreement, in case of any new invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the consultation mechanism with Kyiv is immediately activated. Denmark also undertook a number of other obligations.
In addition, the Danish Ministry of Defense announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine for 1.7 billion Danish kroner (about 228 million euros). It provides ammunition for artillery and air defense, drones and assistance in demining.
