Drones are crashing in Russia

Drones have crashed in the Moscow, Bryansk, Belgorod regions, and the Republic of Adygea. The Russian Defense Ministry claims Ukraine's involvement.

A fire breaks out in the Krasnodar Kray on the territory of a Rosneft oil depot. Several Russian media outlets claim that the fire was caused by a drone attack. They also claim that there is a barracks with the Russian military near the oil depot.

The Ukrainian command has not yet confirmed its involvement in the drone incidents in Russia.

“PMC Redan”

Law enforcement officers in Kharkiv are conducting searches of the alleged organizers of a fight between teenagers, which was supposed to be organized by the Redan PMC movement the day before. Police in Vinnytsia Oblast also announced that a fight between teenagers had been prevented.

The National Police announced blocking 18 social media channels and groups “created to destabilize the internal situation in Ukraine through a new youth movement”. Together with the Cyber Police, they are identifying the sources of funding and administrators of these information channels. For example, a 16-year-old administrator of a Telegram channel in Dnipro who was going to make money from the Redan PMC has already been identified.

Situation at the front

According to the General Staff, the occupiers are trying to create conditions for an offensive in certain areas in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Oblasts.

In the Bakhmut sector, Russian troops continue to storm Bakhmut. Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said that it was decided to send additional units there.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman sectors, the occupiers conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske, and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast. At the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk sectors, the occupiers unsuccessfully attacked in the direction of Kamianka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Marinka, and Pobeda in Donetsk Oblast.

russia suspends participation in the nuclear deal with the US

On February 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law suspending Russia's Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty participation. Alleged sabotage at Machulishchi airfield in Belarus

According to the monitoring group Belaruski Gayun, a plane from Russia's only center for servicing such reconnaissance aircraft arrived at the Belarusian airfield Machulishchi after the alleged explosion of a Russian A-50 reconnaissance aircraft. Belaruski Gayun believes that this plane could have been delivering specialists or a set of spare parts to the airfield to repair the A-50.

According to British intelligence, losing the A-50 long-range radar detection and controlling military aircraft would be significant for Russia, as it is very important for air operations.

“There are likely 6 A-50s left in service [in Russia], which will further limit Russian air operations,” they said.

Russian shelling

On the night of February 28, the Russian occupation forces shelled the town of Sviatohirsk in Donetsk Oblast. They hit a fire and rescue unit there. The attack killed one rescuer and wounded four others.

In addition, the occupiers shelled Kherson Oblast once again: four people were killed and five were wounded.
