Law enforcement officers identified all 12 Russians involved in the shootings of people at the intersection of Vokzalna and Yablunska streets in Bucha, reported the National Police.

It was established that the military involved were paratroopers of the 234th Airborne Assault Regiment from Pskov.

Their commander gave the order to occupy the sector at the intersection of Vokzalna and Yablunska streets and fire to kill anyone who came into their field of vision. He personally supervised the execution of the order, gave instructions on the arrangement of firing positions and the presence of Russian soldiers on them in shifts, investigators note.

Then 16 civilians were killed - women, men and children - aged 14 to 69. All of them were shot with machine guns and combat vehicles while trying to get to work or relatives, evacuate their families from the combat zone, or simply find food.

"Among the dead are a woman with a red manicure, a man on a bicycle, and a volunteer in a minibus, whose photos were circulated by all the world's media after the de-occupation of Bucha," the police said.

Police officers have collected evidence confirming the fact that the commander of the Pskov paratroopers gave the order to shoot civilians. Investigators have pressed charges of giving an order that violates the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces life imprisonment for the crime.

Currently, law enforcement officers are cooperating with representatives of the International Criminal Court so that the evidence obtained can serve as the basis for holding the Russian military and political leadership accountable in international courts.
