Russian strikes hit three cities, kill 1, injure 7 in Kyiv

In the early hours of Monday, Russian forces conducted a large-scale attack on Ukraine using strike drones and various types of missiles, resulting in fatalities and injuries, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) and regional officials.
Kyiv faced a significant assault. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a drone fragment strike caused a fire on a balcony of a 10-story residential building, according to the SES.
In the Dniprovskyi district, commercial structures caught fire, while in the Darnytskyi district, blazes erupted at a garage cooperative and a preschool. Rescuers extinguished the fires.
The attack also damaged an entrance to the Lukyanivska metro station in Kyiv, and one person was killed.
10:05 a.m. update: Seven people were injured in Kyiv. In the Darnytskyi district, five individuals aged 36 to 55 sustained shrapnel wounds, including a 15-year-old girl.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, an elderly woman was hospitalized.
Ivano-Frankivsk was also heavily targeted. Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv described it as the city’s most intense attack since Russia’s full-scale invasion began.
Three villages in the territorial community reported infrastructure damage, and three people sustained minor injuries.
Russian forces struck Kharkiv at least 11 times, using Geran-2 strike drones, according to Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration head Oleg Synegubov. No casualties were reported in the city.
