Kyiv bids farewell to artist-turned-soldier Lana 'Sati' Chornohorska killed in action

Kyiv said goodbye on Tuesday to Ukrainian Volunteer Army (UDA) servicewoman Lana Chornohorska, call sign Sati, at Baikove Cemetery crematorium grounds, according to hromadske’s correspondent.
The UDA unmanned aviation service announced the farewell the day before.
"Lana Chornohorska went from volunteer to UAV operator and navigator. She was not only a fighter but a vibrant cultural figure — a person with an active life stance who inspired others with her sincerity and dedication," the service said.
Lana Chornohorska died on January 1 from a Russian UAV strike on the southern front.
Fellow soldiers called her a "dedicated warrior, principled person and true friend." Besides military service, Sati was an artist, cultural activist and advocate.
"In the unit she did various work: from preparing drones to their combat use, serving as both pilot and navigator for different UAVs. This is a great loss for our unit," the UDA unmanned aviation service wrote.
