Russian mass attack kills 6, injures 52 in Kyiv

Russian forces conducted a massive attack on Kyiv with missiles and drones in the early hours of July 31, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, and Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko.
As of now, 52 people are reported injured, with nearly 30 hospitalized, including nine children. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a strike hit a residential high-rise, destroying an entire section and killing two people. The Kyiv Military Administration noted that people may still be trapped under the rubble.
As of 07:43 a.m., Tkachenko confirmed six deaths, four in the Sviatoshynskyi district and two in the Solomyanskyi district, including a six-year-old boy.
The attack’s impact was recorded at 27 locations. In the Solomyanskyi district, apartments in several buildings were damaged, and cars caught fire. In the Holosiyivskyi district, a school and a kindergarten were affected. Additionally, in the Shevchenkivskyi district, a blast wave shattered windows in a children’s ward at a medical facility.
Overnight into July 28, a Russian drone attack in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district injured eight people, including a three-year-old child, and damaged a 25-story building.
