Russian troops struck energy infrastructure sites in Chernihiv Oblast for the second straight day on Monday, sparking fires and partial blackouts, the regional military administration and the State Emergency Service reported.

Drone attacks ignited a blaze in a residential building on the outskirts of Chernihiv and damaged a power grid facility, leaving one civilian man with minor injuries, officials said.

In the Pryluky district, hits damaged energy and farm structures.

In the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, Russian drones struck a grain elevator and a private home in another village.

In the Koriukivka district, another drone targeted an infrastructure enterprise.

Emergency responders quickly extinguished the fires.

Hourly power outage schedules are in effect across the oblast. Energy workers plan to ease restrictions if conditions improve. In Pryluky, some subscribers remain without electricity after the attack, with crews working to restore service.

The region has received extra resources to stabilize the power grid, the administration said.

“As for air defenses, we're working with Air Force Command to boost effectiveness. From our side—aid with logistical support, coordinating funds that can provide extra equipment to air defense units," Chernihiv Oblast State Administration head Vyacheslav Chaus wrote.
