Electricity back in Zaporizhzhia Oblast hours after Russian strikes, part of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast still without power

Power was restored across Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia Oblast by early Thursday, following a massive Russian drone attack that blacked out the area, while parts of the neighboring Dnipropetrovsk Oblast remain without electricity, according to regional officials.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
The region was completely cut off from power around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, due to the enemy drone strike on energy infrastructure.
Zaporizhzhia regional military administration head Ivan Fedorov said voltage was restored to key facilities overnight.
Earlier today, Andriy Stasevskyi, head of Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo, reported that electricity had been restored across the government-controlled part of the region.
"Restoration work began immediately and continued through the night. Critical infrastructure — including heat and water supply — was prioritized. [...] By 5 a.m. — in less than seven hours — the work was complete, and power was restored to residents of Zaporizhzhia Oblast and the regional center," Stasevskyi wrote.
All heating plants in the region now have electricity and are operating normally, Fedorov said. Facilities have been switched back from generators to the main grid, and heat supply to homes continues.
Ukrainian Railways reported that train service in Zaporizhzhia has returned to normal.
"It was a tough night for the region. But light always prevails. This night once again showed the titanic work of all our services — from the first minute, everyone was in place, in full coordination... Special thanks to our people — for their resilience, calm and mutual support. That's the strength of Zaporizhzhia," Fedorov wrote.
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Acting head of the regional military administration Vladyslav Hayvanenko said that as of Thursday morning, parts of the region remain without power. All necessary measures are being taken to restore supply to consumers.
On Wednesday evening, the DTEK energy company reported emergency power outages in parts of the region and the city of Dnipro due to the Russian attack.
Ukrainian Railways said stations in Dnipro and the region are running on generators, and "Points of Invincibility" shelters are crowded "but there's enough charging and tea for everyone."
Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov said the city will maximize bus service in the morning to replace electric public transport, increasing the number of buses on routes.
