Russian troops attacked the village of Cherkaske in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk Oblast, killing four civilians and wounding five others, according to the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office and police.

According to investigators, at approximately 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, Russian forces attacked Cherkaske with Geran-2 drones, striking the detached housing neighborhood.

As a result of hits on residential buildings, a 32-year-old man and his 5-year-old son were killed, along with two of their neighbors.

The mother of the deceased boy is in serious condition. The condition of her three daughters aged 12, 14 and 16 is assessed as moderate: they were diagnosed with blast injuries, burns and abrasions.

A 34-year-old local resident was also wounded. At the time of the strike, the victims were inside their homes.

As a result of the attack, two private homes in the village were completely destroyed, and nearby civilian homes were damaged.

Overall on Thursday, police recorded 1,458 enemy strikes along the front line and on residential areas of the region. Six settlements came under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Mykolaivka, the settlement of Cherkaske, and the villages of Mayaky and Shchurove.
