Russian troops attack Vilniansk with drones, child among wounded
Russian forces struck the town of Vilniansk in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia Oblast with drones, wounding four people, including a boy under two years old, the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration reported.
Among the injured are two women, one man and the toddler. Private homes and outbuildings were damaged in the attack.
Emergency responders freed two women and two children (ages 1 and 10) from one building by forcing open blast-damaged doors. Rescue operations have been completed.
Over the past day, Russian troops carried out 657 strikes on 35 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, including 23 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Veselivka, Stepne, Liubytske, Zaliznychne, Ternivka, Barvinivka, Huliaipilske, Vozdvyzhivka, Zelena Dibrova, Zelene, Samiylivka, Charivne, Verkhnia Tersa, Novoselivka, Hirke, and Kopani.
The enemy also used 365 drones of various types (mostly FPV), carried out four multiple-launch rocket system strikes and 265 artillery attacks.
60 reports were received of damage to homes, vehicles and infrastructure.
