Russian strike hits apartment building in Kharkiv, injuring eight people

Russian forces struck a nine-story apartment building in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv overnight into Friday, injuring eight civilians, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported.
Rescue teams, including high-rise climbers, sappers and psychologists, are working at the scene. The strike partially destroyed internal structures and a balcony on an upper floor.
Terekhov initially said the building was hit by a missile, but the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia used drones in the overnight attack.
A second drone strike was also recorded in the same district, according to the mayor.
This is the latest in a series of Russian attacks on residential areas of Kharkiv. Overnight into March 7, a ballistic missile directly hit another apartment building in the Kyivskyi district, completely destroying one entry section of a five-story building and killing 10 people.
