5 killed, over 20 injured in Russian strike on Dnipro

Russian forces attacked the city of Dnipro, killing five people and wounding over 20 people, regional military administration head Oleksandr Hanzha reported on Tuesday.

The Air Force had warned of the threat of ballistic weapons use, specifically a missile heading toward Dnipro.

A fire broke out at the strike site, and all emergency services are working there.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the attack damaged a civilian infrastructure facility and a vehicle belonging to local residents. In particular, civilians who were traveling on the highway during the shelling were killed.

As of 2:42 p.m., the death toll has risen to five after a 40-year-old man died in the hospital.

The total number of casualties has risen to 25. 21 people have been hospitalized, 10 of whom are in serious condition. The victims have been diagnosed with blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, lacerations, and fractures.
