At least two people were killed and 10 others injured after Russian forces struck a high-rise apartment building in Dnipro during an overnight drone barrage, regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha reported.

Russian troops launched a wave of attacks on the city of Dnipro overnight, scoring a direct hit on a residential high-rise. The strike ignited fires across several apartments, while additional blazes broke out in various districts across the city, damaging residential buildings, vehicles, and a local shop.

Ukrainian air defense units from the East PMC intercepted 40 Russian drones over the region during the assault.

Despite these efforts, the debris and impacts caused significant casualties. Among the 10 injured are two girls, aged 9 and 14, who have been hospitalized along with three adults. Medical professionals described their conditions as moderate.

Rescue operations continue as one person remains unaccounted for in the debris. Additionally, regional officials reported that a 64-year-old woman was injured during separate shelling in the nearby Nikopol district.
