At least 20 injured after Russia’s massive overnight attack on Odesa

At least 20 people were injured in a massive Russian attack on the city of Odesa overnight into Thursday, Odesa City Military Administration head Serhiy Lysak reported.
As of 9:20 a.m., the number of injured in Odesa has risen to 20, with at least nine hospitalized, according to regional authorities.
The victims range in age from 17 to 70 years old. Two people are currently in intensive care in serious condition, and doctors are fighting for their lives.
According to the City Military Administration, Russian forces targeted residential neighborhoods and civilian objects across different districts of the city.
The most severe damage was recorded in the Prymorskyi district, where a high-rise apartment building and a five-story residential building were hit. Large fires broke out on the upper floors and roofs, which firefighters managed to contain. Private homes and residential buildings in the central part of the city were also damaged.
Social and commercial facilities came under attack as well: a kindergarten building sustained significant destruction, while a shopping center, hotel, and administrative premises were damaged. Dozens of buses and passenger cars were destroyed or damaged in several parking lots.
In the Khadzhybeyskyi district, strikes hit infrastructure facilities, warehouse buildings, and a garage cooperative.
A total of 68 units of equipment and more than 280 specialists from all emergency and municipal services were deployed to address the fallout. Operational headquarters have been set up at the sites to provide assistance and consultations to residents of the damaged buildings.
