67% of Ukrainians expect Zelensky to be replaced after the end of war — poll

88% of Ukrainians surveyed expect a reset of the central government after the war, 67% expect a change of president, say the results of a poll conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) from May 7 to June 3.
At the same time, other KIIS polls show that the majority of Ukrainians are against holding elections until the war is over.
KIIS notes that three years ago, 73% expected a reboot of the central government at least at one level; now the number has increased to 88%.
When it comes to the parliament, the number of those who expect a reboot after the war has increased from 69% to 83%. As for the government, the figure has increased from 47% to 74%, and as for the president, from 23% to 67%.
Only a minority (33%) among those who fully trust the president expect him to be replaced after the war. Among those who tend to trust the president, the majority (68%) expect a change, and 97% of those who do not trust him wish to see a replacement.
More about the poll
KIIS conducted a poll between 7 May and 3 June 2026 using computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI). A total of 1,000 Ukrainian citizens aged 18 and over were interviewed; at the time of the survey, they were residing in territory controlled by the Ukrainian government.
Formally, under normal circumstances, the statistical margin of error for such a sample (with a confidence level of 0.95 and taking into account a design effect of 1.3) did not exceed 4.1 per cent. Sociologists consider that the results obtained remain highly representative and allow for a reasonably reliable analysis of public sentiment.
