Russian attack on Dnipro kills 4, injures at least 10
Russian forces attacked the city of Dnipro, damaging a private business and injuring at least seven people, according to regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha.
11:55 a.m. update: Four people are reported to have been killed. Another 10 people were injured. Emergency services are on the scene.
12:49 p.m. update: The death toll has also risen to five after a seriously injured man died in the hospital.
Previously, 21 people were reported to have been injured. Of those, five were in serious condition—men aged 22, 33, 54, 58, and 59.
1:18 p.m. update: The number of injured has risen to 28. They have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries, shrapnel wounds, fractures, and acoustic trauma.
Previous attacks
Over the previous day, June 28, Russian forces attacked three districts of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast more than 40 times with drones, artillery and guided bombs.
Two people were injured in the Nikopol district — a 41-year-old man was hospitalized in moderate condition, while a 49-year-old man will be treated as an outpatient.
Overnight into June 29, Russian forces attacked the region more than 10 times with drones and artillery. No casualties were reported in those strikes.
