Refinery in Volgograd attacked by Ukrainian Defense Intelligence drones. Two other assets also hit
The Ukrainian military intelligence conducted a special operation during which it attacked three objects on the territory of Russia. Among them is the Volgograd Oil Refinery, where explosions were reported at night, public broadcaster "Suspilne" and "RBK-Ukraine" reported, citing their own sources.
In addition to the Volgograd Refinery, Ukrainian spies attacked with drones the Kaluganefteprodukt oil depot in Lyudinovo, in Russia’s Kaluga Oblast, and the Novolipetsk metallurgical plant.
The Novolipetsk plant produces raw materials for Russian companies involved in nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. It has already been attacked by Ukrainian drones at least twice.
Media sources claim that all three military targets have been hit.
In the early hours of May 12, an oil refinery burned in Volgograd, Russia. Russian authorities reported an attack by Ukrainian drones. A fire started at the facility, which was extinguished. There were no reported casualties as a result of the attack.
