Drones attack Russia's Krasnodar Krai: fires break out near airfield and oil refinery
Drones attacked Russia’s Krasnodar Krai overnight, reported local Telegram channels. After the attack, fires broke out near the airfield in the town of Yeysk, as well as on the grounds of the Ilsky Refinery.
Locals reported explosions in a number of settlements of the region, in particular in Yeysk, Volgograd, Krasnodar, as well as the villages of Yablonovsky and Enem.
In the videos shared online, it can be seen that after the drone attack, a fire broke out near the military airfield in the town of Yeysk.
In addition, the operational headquarters of Krasnodar Kari reported a fire on the property of the Ilsky oil refinery, as a result of which two people were injured. The fire has allegedly already been extinguished.
The governor of Krasnodar Krai, Veniamin Kondratiev, said that in Krasnodar, the building of a boiler house near a bus station was damaged. As a result of the fall of the debris of the drone, one of the employees died, he added.
At the same time, according to Kondratiev, administrative buildings on the grounds of the refinery were damaged in the Seversky district. Four people were injured there.
The official blamed Ukraine for the attack. However, the Ukrainian authorities and the military traditionally do not comment on the strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation.
