Russian army officer may have been injured as a result of car bombing in Moscow
On the morning of July 24, a car with a person inside exploded in Moscow. Russian media sources write that Andrey Torgashov, the deputy chief of the radio center of the military satellite communication unit, was inside the vehicle, reported Russian Telegram channels SHOT, Baza, ASTRA and Mash.
The explosion of a Toyota Land Cruiser car happened in the northern part of Moscow around 6:30 a.m. As a result of the explosion, the feet of the Russian soldier who was inside were torn off. Now he is in the hospital, where doctors are fighting for his life.
Torgashov's wife was also injured. She was hospitalized with facial injuries.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that they have already started a criminal investigation into this incident. Russian media indicate that it could probably have been an assassination attempt using an explosive device planted under the car.
