Strike on ammunition depot near Volgograd
On 29 September, the Ukrainian military hit a missile storage arsenal in the village of Kotluban in the Volgograd region of Russia with drones, our source in the security forces said. Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed the damage. A fire and ammunition detonation continued on the territory of the arsenal.
However, the Russian service of Radio Liberty disseminated a satellite image showing the aftermath of the fire only near the depot. The journalists suggested that the Ukrainian military had allegedly failed to hit the arsenal. Ukraine has not yet commented on this claim.
Denmark invests in Ukrainian defence industry again
Denmark plans to purchase DKK 4.2 billion (EUR 563 million) worth of weapons from the Ukrainian defence industry. The purchased equipment and weapons will be delivered to the frontline at the expense of Denmark, as well as with the help of profits from frozen Russian assets.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy refused to discuss the dismissal of Ukraine's ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova, as demanded by Republicans after his visit to a weapons factory in Pennsylvania.
As for the demand to fire Ukraine's ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova, Zelenskyy responded: “I am the president of Ukraine, and I can only discuss our ambassadors with the speaker of my country. This is also spelled out in the Constitution, and I cannot talk about this with Speaker Mike Johnson, with all due respect.”
Pro-Russian party's advantage in the Austrian parliamentary elections
The pro-Russian and pro-Putin Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) is leading the vote in the Austrian parliamentary elections. Preliminarily, it has already won 29.1% of the vote.
