Ukrainian forces hit Russian oil depot, destroy Buk air defense system in Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Defense Forces of Ukraine hit an oil depot in Russia’s Rostov Oblast and destroyed the radar station of the Buk-M3 air defense system of the Russian military in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, reported the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
The military confirmed that overnight on November 28, they struck the Atlas oil depot in Russia’s Rostov Oblast. As a result of the damage, a fire broke out on the property of the facility. At least two sources of ignition were recorded.
In the summer of 2024, this oil depot was already under attack by the Defense Forces. According to the General Staff, Atlas is part of the Russian military-industrial complex, which ensures the supply of petroleum products for the Russian army.
In addition, the radar station of the Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile complex in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast was destroyed.
The task was carried out by the units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Main Directorate of Intelligence in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces.
