Russia attacks Ukraine with missile and 39 drones: most UAVs shot down
Overnight, Russian forces attacked Ukraine using ballistic missiles and various types of drones. Several regions were affected by the strikes, as reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.
A ballistic missile at Dnipro was launched from Russia’s Rostov Oblast, and 39 Shahed attack UAVs and decoy drones of various types from the following directions: Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9:00 AM, it has been confirmed that 24 Shahed attack UAVs (and other types of drones) have been shot down in the north, south, east, and center of the country.
13 decoy drones were lost to radar (without negative consequences).
The Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zhytomyr oblasts were affected by the Russian attack.
