38 Russian drones shot down over Ukraine, 16 more failed to reach targets — Air Force
Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 54 Shahed kamikaze drones and decoy unmanned aerial vehicles in the early hours of Tuesday, launching from Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Ukrainian defenses neutralized 38 drones, while 16 were “lost to radar” and did not reach their intended targets.
The Air Force reported that aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces repelled the assault across eastern, northern, southern, and central regions. The 38 destroyed targets included Shahed drones and other UAV types, with defensive operations spanning multiple fronts.
Odesa suffered significant impact, with Russian drones striking a densely populated residential area, injuring three people, damaging homes, an educational facility, and vehicles, and sparking fires, as confirmed by Odesa Regional Governor Oleh Kiper. Kyiv Oblast was also targeted.s
