Drones hit Russia’s Murom, likely targeting gunpowder factory

Drones attacked Murom in Russia’s Vladimir Oblast overnight, likely striking the Murom Instrument-Making Plant, a gunpowder production facility, causing a warehouse fire, regional governor Alexander Avdeev reported.

Governor Avdeev confirmed that a drone attack sparked a fire at a warehouse in Murom, stating that multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were detected, but claimed they were neutralized by electronic warfare systems.

Social media posts suggested the target was the Murom Instrument-Making Plant, known for producing pyrotechnics, fire suppression equipment, and detonator caps.

Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed it shot down 34 drones allegedly launched by Ukraine, though Kyiv has not officially commented on the incident.
