Russian forces launch 103 drones, Iskander missile at Ukraine overnight
On Wednesday evening and overnight into Thursday, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 103 drones and an Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile, according to the Ukrainian Air Force Command.
As of 10:00 AM, Ukrainian air defenses neutralized 74 enemy Shahed drones (and other types) in the eastern, southern, and northern parts of the country. Of these, 28 UAVs were shot down by firepower, and 46 were lost or suppressed by electronic warfare.
The attack resulted in impacts from enemy aerial assaults in 16 locations. The primary targets of the airstrikes were the Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa oblasts.
Russian forces launched Shahed drones and various imitator drones from Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Chauda in occupied Crimea. The ballistic missile was launched from Rostov Oblast.
The aerial assault was countered by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
