No Russian breakthrough into Dnipropetrovsk Oblast as fighting persists

No breakthrough by Russian forces into Dnipropetrovsk Oblast has been recorded, though “very intense fighting” persists in villages near the region’s administrative border, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Troop Grouping, told public broadcaster Suspilne on June 30.
Battles are ongoing in the villages of Yalta, Komar, and Shevchenkove.
Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, also confirmed that, as of June 30, Russian forces had not broken through into Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
“Fighting continues near the administrative border, and Russians are deploying FPV drones into Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. But there is no breakthrough; the battles are tough,” he wrote.
As of June 30, the monitoring portal DeepState marked the gray zone slightly beyond Dnipropetrovsk Oblast’s borders.
In late April, Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Russian occupying forces were attempting to breach Ukrainian defenses and reach the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
In early June, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed its troops had reached the region’s border, a claim refuted by Ukraine’s General Staff.
