Drones target Salsk station, damage substation in Russia's Rostov Oblast

Overnight, several Russian regions came under drone attacks, with a fire breaking out at a railway station in Salsk, Rostov Oblast, according to acting regional governor Yuri Slusar.

Slusar stated that the fire occurred at the railway station, and a passenger train was moved to a safe distance. 45 firefighters and 12 units of equipment were deployed to extinguish the blaze.

He also reported that a drone attack damaged an electrical substation in Orlovsky district.

Russian Telegram channels reported a series of explosions in Salsk around 2:00 a.m., with videos showing a large fire, which eyewitnesses said broke out near the railway hub.

Other Russian regions were also targeted by drones. According to Russia’s Defense Ministry, 74 Ukrainian drones were destroyed or intercepted overnight, including 43 in Bryansk Oblast, 22 in Rostov Oblast, six in Kaluga Oblast, two in Smolensk Oblast, and one in Leningrad Oblast.
